Script & Scribble – typesetting and footnoting errors

dear ms florey
i am reading your book Script & Scribble which was available at our local library and am enjoying it very much.
however, the book got off to a rocky start for me. not the content per se, but there were errors in the typesetting and footnoting in chapter one that made reading a bit wobbly. so thought i would jot down the things i’ve noted so that if you happen to see this, you can let the publishers know to look out for it in the next reprint. 🙂
Page 27: The superscript in the main text section ought to be numbered footnote 2 but is instead numbered footnote 1.
Subsequently, the footnote numbering in the main text of chapter one is out of sync with the actual footnote text in the page margin. By page 35, the footnote numbering in the main text of chapter one is two numbers less than the actual footnote text in the page margin.
Page 30: The image of a sample of the Insular Minuscule script interrupts (only half of the line is visible) the sentence at the bottom of Page 30 which reads “It was during the course of the evolution of these scripts that …”
Page 31: The image of the extract from Mozart’s Magic Flute is printed directly over the image name “Charles Perrault for Cinderall, ….”, rending both not very legible.
now back to your otherwise lovely book.
