promised to post a test shot of the LX3.  we played for a wedding luncheon this afternoon and this fellow on my right was just too gorgeous for me to pass over.

    Beautiful French Horn. Great little camera!
    Been using the LX1 for a while. LX3 has less noise but I see a bit in this pic at full size. The ISO 320 would be the culprit.I love the user friendly nature of these little gems.

    hi willy, i think you’re right about the ISO 320 being the trouble. the lighting in the ballrom was pretty dim and i didn’t have a tripod with me so couldn’t manage an ISO 200 shot.

    the detail on the horn’s rotary valves came out pretty well i thought. i’m beginning to seriously appreciate the f/2.0.

    are you going to pick up the LX3? would be interesting to see how the Panasonic LX3 has evolved since the LX1.
