less than a year ago, i had the chance to visit myanmar. i must confess that i knew very little about the largest country in south-east asia, save for the name “aung san suu kyi” which appears from time to time in the broadsheets. but other than that, it’s people, culture, food, climate, beliefs, and history remained a mystery to me. upon arrival, it was the sight of a bustling city that greeted me.
